Originally opening in 2016 as a pop-up in Surry Hills, Toko Owner, Matt Yazbek, launched Cubby’s Kitchen in a new home in the Sydney CBD in 2018. The venue name derives from Yazbek’s mother Mouna whose nickname happens to be Cubby and the restaurant is an ode to his family’s heritage. A family affair, having opened the restaurant with his two sisters, they are now joined by long time family friend, NRL star Anthony Watmough.
Taking traditional dishes and adding modern twists, you will enjoy the exciting variety of dishes at Cubby’s Kitchen. Whether it be the Smoked Labne with pomegranate chilli oil, or sumac spiced king salmon with miso and garlic, you will enjoy every last bite of food at Cubby’s.
Our beverage list has a selection of wines from the famous Chateau Ksara in Lebanon, as well as Almaza Beer. The cocktail list has some classics, as well as many Lebanese inspired cocktails like the Byblos Dream, Pomegranate Mojito, Lebanese Fireball and the Lebanese Espresso Martini.
